NEWS UPDATE.....JEFF NICKLUS TO RETIRE.
Hey There Boys and Girls......your ol' Buddy Jeff Here..........
A few years ago an article appeared in Ride Texas Magazine, written by Robert Filla, entitled "Jeff Nicklus, The Last Desperado". The article told a brief story of both myself and Desperado Motorcycles......therefore, I am comfortable in quoting (with permission) a portion of the final paragraphin the article:
...."with the heydays of the custom bike market currently in serious decline, the tragic loss of his son, Conrad in 2012 and a recent (but successful) battle with cancer, Jeff Nicklus is in semi-retirement, happy to build 15-20 bikes a year."
I am no longer happy being "semi-retired!" With my up coming 75th birthday approaching it is time to replace the "semi-retired" catagory with "fully retired". With this being said and with a mix of emotions, mark June 9,2023 on your calender, this will be my last day at Desperado.
A decision, not taken lightly, will be made in the coming months regarding the fate of Desperado Motorcycles, the company. Until such time, I will continue to ship parts to customers as needed, while supply lasts.
Over & Out,
Jeff
